Andreas Herz (FreeGroup) developed the Candle app as an open-source project. This SERVICE is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is. Candle is a navigation app primarily designed for visually impaired or blind individuals.

Please be assured that this background location tracking is solely for the functionality of route recording within the app. Your location data is not used for any other purpose and remains on your device without being shared externally.
If you decide not to enable this feature, the core functionality of the Candle app remains unaffected, although the continuous route recording capability will not be available.
